The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for car shows. Vehicle Details **RARE** 1980 Ford Mustang Notchback Coupe I have owned this car for over 10 years and have owned more than 8 foxbody mustangs. This car represents the culmination of my mustang experience, build knowledge, and personal preference for the best street/track mustang. I havent put more than 500 miles on this car, never raced, occasionally driven. I was planning to drag race car and the track on Long Island NY closed years ago and another never opened. I dont street race, too dangerous, plus I have two kids. I am selling the car because I have too many cars and not enough time to use them. This car started life as a rustfree mustang from Tennessee, I bought the car from an enthusiast on the corral forums. I have had several different engine combos before settling on what I have now. I will list most of the major details of the car below. There are so many details I will probably not cover them all. The car is absolutely turnkey, new tires, brakes, engine stripped and resealed this spring at a cost of 9k, new rear suspension, all fluids changed and ready (oil, coolant, brake fluid, trans..etc.) here are the details on the build: ENGINE : 347 Stroker built by Lawrence Racing Engines in Westhampton Beach, fully roller engine, balanced, blue printed, torque plate honed. Forged pistons, comp cam, compcam roller rockers, arp studs and fasteners. Makes 480hp, 515ft lbs torque. Block is an original 1968 302 Mexican block with reinforced bottom end, stronger than late model blocks. Intake is an edelbrock single plane with 4 barrel Quikfuel Technology Racing 750cfm carb, no choke. TRANSMISSION: Astroperformance A5, supports up to 550hp, special helical cut gears, reinforced, 5th gear overdrive puts rpms at 60mph below 2200. Hurst shifter. McLeod heavy duty clutch. REAREND DRIVETRAIN: 4:10 motorsport gears, aluminum drives haft, stock axles WHEELS/TIRES: brand new Mickey Thompson ET Street R, New front radial tires, Weld draglite wheels, extra set of skinny rims go with car. BODY: rust free original notchback body, repainted about 10 years ago, recently had the fiberglass hood installed and paint matched, excellent condition, always garaged and covered. INTERIOR: original Ford interior, carpet, all in excellent shape, low miles, no holes or tears, newer floor mats. ELECTRICAL: MSD 6AL ignition box, Mark VIII custom fan, stand alone DCC fan controller, Holley red fuel pump, Aluminum battery relocation box, new 12v battery. New Edelbrock high volume waterpump. Thermostat. Runs perfect at 190 degrees, no overheating at stoplights. SUSPENSION: Front and Rear Lakewood coilover suspension, adjustable caster/camber plates, swaybars removed, poly Southside lower rear arms. Rides awesome, no hard bumps, no rubbing. Car was professionally aligned and drives true to perfect. EXHAUST: BBK full length ceramic coated headers, H pipe, Flowmaster mufflers with polished tips. Sounds amazing!
