Vehicle Details No reserve1 I’m reluctantly parting with my beloved 1964 VW Bug. This is an early production ‘64 with the ‘63 and earlier peanut turn signals and Pope’s nose license plate light. This car came from the gentle climate of California to the equally gentle climate of Florida and is RUST-FREE! This is the best running, most reliable, and most solid VW I’ve owned, and I’ve had quite a few. All the usual problem areas are rock solid - the heater channels, pillar posts, spare tire well, original floor pans, etc. It’s an original Bahama blue car that has had a repaint sometime in the ‘70s and displays a very cool patina. There is no bondo anywhere and it’s never been hit. This car is a blast to drive and people can’t help but smile when they see it. It’s lowered just the right amount for the perfect stance and smooth ride. It has a Rancho Performance pro-street transmission ($$$) with 3.88 “freeway flyer†gears, (Cruises comfortably at 70), a 4“ narrowed adjustable front beam, 2†drop spindles, upgraded to disk brakes on all four corners, safari windshield, new Kennedy pressure plate/clutch, rear wheel bearings, 12 volt alternator conversion. I’m sure I’m forgetting a few things. I can’t stress enough how well this car runs, drives, and stops and how much fun it is. I just drove it from Melbourne to Jupiter, Florida and back (two hours each way). This is a clean and solid example of the desirable pre-1965 “small window†Beetle. Did I mention it’s rust-free?
