1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 (Green/Black)

Price: US $13,500.00 SOLD OUT

The good: Original rare color combinations of Laurel green and Crocus Yellow. Painted Summer 2017. Not professional but looks great. The entire car was sanded down to bare metal and coated with epoxy primer which is a good defense against corrosion. Rust was cut out and replaced with clean sheet steel. The entire car was block sanded with a 32 inch block and is perfectly straight. The headlight brows have clean lines (Go to a car show and check other 56's and you'll see alot of guys can't get it right where the headlight meets the fender). Even door jambs, under hood, and trunk were repainted that way when you open them everything looks fresh. Trans shifts niceHexavalent chrome plating on almost 50 parts—cost more than the car.Survivor upholstery, door panels. New windshield, rubber seals, window felt, chrome was replatedComplete engine overhaulNew batteryNew gas tankexhaustBrakes redone—rubber and metal lines, wheel cylinders, drums turned etcNew heater core and radiatorNew wheel bearings all the way aroundNew headliner.Stored in barn for 35 yrs. Many parts on front end (inner fenders, radiator supports, etc) powder coatedUnderneath looks great, rubberized undercoating, sprayed inside frame rails, rockers etcAwesome sound deadening and stereo system—discrete in glove box and under dash/seatsCan include many parts as you wish from what I have leftover! The bad: Rear package tray of the interior(trim piece behind rear seat) yellow does not match yellow of car, some wear and tear to original upholstery, engine depends on lucas oil additive and SAE 30 otherwise lifters make noise at sustained highway speed, slight oil drip believed to be from drain plug bolt, clock doesn’t work well, no A/C, no power steering or brakes, Needs vent kickboards to complete—easy to make The ugly: No seatbelts, 4 wheel drums, bias ply tires new but still old school technology, overfilled rear axle enough to where grease spot is under wheel where I park—not affecting braking performance—leaking from overflowI work three nights a week so I’m pretty flexible if you want to come see the car.
