1979 GMC 3500

Price: US $3,750.00 SOLD OUT

The Good: The truck body is straight with no signs of significant rust. It has a nice patina on the original red paint. The 350 engine cranks right up with no hesitation and runs like a sewing machineThe 4 speed transmission has the granny low gear, it shifts well with no issuesThe flatbed is tough as nails has a 5th wheel and a permanently attached tow hitchHas a heavy duty trailer brake installedAll mechanicals work on the truck, it is driveable It has a hat rack for your cowboy hat and gun rack for your .. well gunsIt has a hydro-boost brake systemThe original quadrajet carb works flawlessly in any weather hot or coldNo smoke, no engine noises, and the transmission shifts great.  The Bad: The interior is rough it was a ranch truck after all, the seat has been repaired with duct tape in multiple placesParking brake cable is broken, i just leave it in gear or put a rock under the tireAbout the only thing that works in the instrument cluster is the SpeedometerIt has all the AC parts on the truck, but far as i can tell the AC doesn't workThe front drivers suspension clunks a bit, needs a ball jointFront right tire needs replaced, it has a slow leakThe ODO reads about 45000 miles, but we all know that isn't a dependable measure as it could be 145k. The truck is mechanically sound and i drive it once a week at least though, no smoke, no engine noises and the transmission shifts great.
