Every piece of sheetmetal , including roof ,has been replaced with the exception of the panel under backglass. That part was modified with 2 stainless steel 1/2 diameter tubing drain pipes, so water wont lay in trough under glass. "that was a factory defect" All inner sub structure has been covered in Por-15 rust preventive. Car has original interior floor pans, still in excellent shape and has new trunk floor pans. Body is laser straight with "NO" scratches,nicks,or chips of any kind in it. Paint is Dupont Chroma Base with 3 coats of high build urethane clear, colorsanded and buffed. Interior has been replaced with Classic Industries ,replica seat covers ,front and rear,carpets ,front and rear ,headliner, and all 4 trim panels for doors and 1/4 trim panels. Steering column has been completely rebuilt with new bearings and turn signal switch. Has 1981 Camaro SS steering wheel. C.D. player is a Rockford Fosgate high output 13 speaker system with a Pioneer amp,and MPX sub woofer. Car has all new glass and rebuilt window regulators, front and rear. Engine is a factory assembled dead stock 5.3 liter LS-2 all aluminum block with the same part # aluminum heads that the 07 Corvette came with.....The block and heads came out of a 2011 chev Avalanche, with only 3000 miles on it. Injection manifold came from an 07 Corvette. Reprogrammed computer and wiring harness were custom built by Speartech....The factory power rating for this engine is 325 horsepower and 450 ft lbs of torque, both rated at the rear wheels. With no catalitic converter ,and the addition of headers and Flomaster exhaust it should have even more power than the factory rating. Transmission is a Tremec 6 speed manual out of a 04 GTO with new flywheel clutch and pressure plate. Shifter is a B&M short throw with a Hurst handle. Radiator is a stock 2000 Z/28 camaro, with the stock electric fans, for that car. Front suspension is stock, with 1" lowering springs to give car factory ride height with all aluminum engine in it. Has rebuilt quick ratio power steering gear. Has new Classic Industries power disc brake conversion on front and has factory 11" drum brakes in rear. Rear end is a new Moser 12 bolt replica with a 3:73 gear ratio and positraction ,riding on factory multileaf springs with Lakewood traction bars. All new Cragar SS wheels And BF Goodrich tires. All bodywork, painting,mechanical work,fabricating and any modifications were done by one person,"me".Jack Hansen, former owner for more than 22 years of Northwest Collision.
