1978 Pontiac Trans Am DKM Macho T/A #71 ** 4-Speed ** Original W72 400 engine ** WS6 Suspension ** ** Authentic Macho T/A with documents ** Original console number plate ** Original Interior except newer carpet and stereo ** Original 8 1/2 " Snowflake wheels ** Original Dual Catalytic Converters ** Only 1 repaint (10 years ago) - Original colors- (hood bird added over hood stripe) ** Original Utah car with few previous owners (current owner has owned her for 11 years) ** The car just came out of 7 year indoor storage and runs fine ** In the car's early years, a Holley double pump carb and intake were added for more power. ** Original Headers were replaced with exhaust manifolds..probably due to ground clearance ** There are 2 dents on lower side of rocker panels ** Lower quarters behind rear wheels were patched many years ago when 1st repaint was done ** Undercarriage, Trunk, Frame and body are very solid, no rust except behind lower rear quarters where repaired - see pics ** Miles 145k ** Needs Headliner and A/C compressor and lines under hood ** Paint is good but has chips and large dent on passenger front fender where owners friend backed into her years ago. The fender will need to be removed and repaired. It is dented too close to the passenger door to open it without damaging paint. ** If I were to keep her, I'd color change her to Black/Gold. This does not devalue them due to Mecham offering color changes. 5 of my previous Macho's were color changed and they actually gained value !! Gold with Metallic Brown was very popular back then, Dennis Mecham of DKM says these colors were the hottest seller for the dealers, but #199 Turbo in pics will show what Black/ Gold looks like....very striking Bandit colors ** The car runs good for having original converters and not driven for 7 years, but I would change all fluids and not drive over 60 mph with the tires having been dormant for so long Highest Offer at end of auction takes this car.
