Up for sale is a 1971 TR6 . It is not perfect by any means but if someone wants a $20,000 car for $5,000 , here it is . It runs very well , no knocks , no rattles, no smoke . It is a non - overdrive gearbox which is smooth . Bodywork is fair , no major rust . Fibreglass rear wings . Clutch works fine , I was told by the previous owner it has had a new clutch plus master cylinder . Brakes are ok . Has had at one point a leak from the master cylinder so that could do with looking into but the brakes are still functional . It has a new fuel tank . All the lights and electrics work . The only thing not working is the rev counter . It has been driven all summer . The worst things on the car are ; the paint is shabby , someone has done a cheap re -spray . There is some bubbling on one of the front wings round the headlight . It has had some welding done on the frame . One floor is ok , the other floor has been patched -- not a good job , it would benefit from a new floor . The bumpers have a small amount of pitting but are still ok . The trunk is ok apart from 2 small rust holes on the side . There is no spare wheel . The wheels and tyres on the car are very good . Inside would benefit from new carpets and trim . The dash is in reasonable , original condition . Glass is all ok . Seats want re-covering , they have seat covers on at the moment . It has a roll bar . The soft top is old and has a tear about 3 inches long . What more can I say ?
