1966 Porsche 912 (redish orange/Black)

1966 Porsche 912 (redish orange/Black)

Price: US $15,000.00 SOLD OUT

*1966* Porsche 912.  All original other than motor & *metal* fender flares (seems to be a 1968 *912* by motor number); miles are thought to be accurate.   INTERIOR: headliner, seats & surrounds are fixable (just mostly need "cleaning".  The dash is perfect with no cracks.  BODY: Some dings & paint flaws, but 97% rust FREE (that means small *paint pops, but no holes, or if any only pinholes).  NO holes in floors or rockers.  Clean smooth rust/ding free roof & rain grids/hood/motor cover-lid.  MOTOR:  DOES NOT RUN.  When I first got the car, it turned with key-new starter installed.  On its first actual start & 15 seconds of run, it stopped as if it ran out of gas with no knocks, chatter or noise.  It is now almost completely STUCK (turns hard with a power bar to crank bolt; plugs removed).  Looks to be new valve tubes.  I removed the valve covers & see no valve/push rod abnormalties of any kind.  The oil pump gears seem good/not damaged (I removed pulley to get to gears).  If you know your Porsche parts, this motor is worth $3500+ even needing a rebuild. TITLE/PAPERWORK:  BOTH number plates are in original places/original rivits.    I do not have a title at this time.  It will be sold with a BILL OF SALE.  There will be a free & clear title in 50 or so days, GUARANTEED.  The title will be clear with no brandings or labels.  I chose to wait for a clear title rather than a bonded title.  The car & vehicle ID plates were inspected & verified by a Florida police officer for the potential Florida title work (2 plates on car, one on driver door pillar & one in the trunk).  A copy of that Florida VIN verify form is available (this also validates car exixts; & they came to my home to see car). Has an original jack with spare.  Old 912 repair manual, also.  An original engine ...
