1969 Pontiac Firebird (Blue/Blue)

Price: US $15,000.00 SOLD OUT

I purchased this daily driver almost 15 years ago as a project car. Recently retired and soon to be moving to the farm. I will NOT be taking this baby down the dirt roads! When I bought the car, the A/C had been removed and the stereo had been stolen so the wiring and ductwork were all torn out. It has required a lot of work, but I could not resist the beautiful blue color. It is not perfect, but it is gorgeous to see coming down the street. I am going to list all that has been updated as well as everything I know is still needed in my opinion.. no surprises!!  Updates:  New wiring harness, steering wheel, windshield and moldings, gauges, ash tray, stereo and speakers, glove box, mirror and wipers. The carpet and upholstery on all seats has been replaced. The trunk was professionally upholstered and the trunk lock shaved. The entire instrument panel was replaced with an aftermarket panel for a 1969 Trans-Am. The engine has not been touched. Needs:   Looking at the pictures you will see that there are several paint chips and cracks. There is also one dent on the front fender just in front of the antennae. The driver's side wheel well has rust showing through where the previous owner rolled the fender wells back to accommodate oversized tires and wheels. The tires look new, but are at least 15 years old. I wanted to replace the wheels with Cragars, but ran out of time and money.   The person that I hired to replace the glove box and install the new ignition switch removed the heater duct work to get the glove box to fit. Also, the ignition switch does not operate as it should and you can start the car with no key. Unfortunately this mechanic went out of business (wonder why). The duct parts along with a multitude of other parts are all in the trunk. I also have a spoiler that was never installed and it will come with the car.   Personally, for safety reasons, there is a stabilizer kit that needs to be installed, and I would also replace the drum brakes at first opportunity. I never did these things because it has only moved less than 500 miles since I have owned it. Payment will be required within 10 days of purchase.
